Right now is the perfect time of year to partake in some stand up paddle boarding! Take it one step further and enjoy some yoga while out on the water. Bring your yoga practice to new levels and challenge yourself with this unique experience that is perfect for everyone!
The class starts with a 20 minute stand up paddleboard introduction and safety demonstration followed by a 20 minute paddle on the water to get comfortable on the board. Afterwards, the boards will be anchored in the water so everything is more secure. Taking place in the Channels of Sea Bridge Harbor, you will enjoy some amazing views during a 60-minute vinyasa power-yoga style class. The yoga class begins with seated stretches, and then moves into modified sun salutations followed by yogi play time which includes the opportunity to practice more challenging inversions.
We mentioned that this experience is open to all levels, but for the experienced yogis, classes can be catered to skill level. The price is $50 for a 2 hour class with a stand up paddleboard rental included, or it’s $35 if you bring your own board and paddle. If it’s your first time, they recommend using their yoga boards for more stability and comfortability.
They also offer private stand up paddleboard instruction classes that are available by appointment. This helps to feel out the board and get more comfortable on the water before taking on the yoga class as well. The price for an hour and a half instruction class is $40, or you can do two hours for $45.
