There is something “berry” sweet coming to Oxnard soon…the Strawberry Festival! This year the coveted festival will be held in a new location, the Ventura County Fairgrounds! The Strawberry Festival takes place May 20-21, 2023. This festival is among the top in the nation with over 40 food vendors, a Ninja Obstacle Course, live music and entertainment, and tons of arts and crafts booths! Proceeds from this event go to more than 20 local charities, and they have raised over 4.5 million dollars and counting!
Of course this festival is all in the name, enjoy strawberry-inspired treats such as building your own strawberry shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, and even strawberry beer! With this new location, visitors can enjoy stunning ocean views with the downtown area just a short walk away too. This new location also offers a ton of convenient transportation options since it is right off the 101 freeway. There is tons of parking onsite, a free shuttle service, and close to the Amtrak station so there really is no excuse to miss this exciting festival!

From 11am to 6pm, kids and families can enjoy events such as magic shows, science shows, and a strawberry tart toss that is fun for everyone. Kids can also check out strawberry land, which features rides and attractions like rock climbs, inflatable rides, face painting and more!
A new experience this year is Ninja Nation! This world-class traveling obstacle course is an exciting activity for kids and adults to enjoy. Challenge yourself in this obstacle course and maneuver your way to victory at just $10 per person.
Throughout the festival, there are also tons of live music options across all genres so there is really something for everyone to enjoy.
Tickets for the festival are $15 for adults, $8 for kids ages 5-12, and children 4 and under are free. Take note that the food booths are cash only, and while there are ATMs onsite…it helps to be prepared and come with cash to enjoy everything this festival has to offer!
